Workshop: FREE Retrofit Revisit Building Performance Evaluation workshop
Date: 28th November 2024, 9.30am-1.00pm
Location: Enterprise Park 1, UWE Bristol (University of the West of England Bristol)
Background
Funded by Innovate UK, alongside Historic England, and led by the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), Retrofit Revisit is a project that evaluated 10 dwellings 10 years after they originally received energy efficiency retrofit measures.
Following completion of the project, CIBSE have been undertaking dissemination activities, including this workshop, which is organised by the Building Performance Network with support from Innovate UK. This workshop is an opportunity to delve further into the building performance evaluation approaches (planning, techniques and technologies) that informed the projects findings, with insights and expertise from the lead building performance evaluators – Julie Godefroy and Marion Baeli. It will also include insights in moisture in buildings from UKCMB’s Technical Director Dr Valentina Marincioni.
Overall aim
This workshop will enable participants to understand how their general practice and specific projects can benefit from building performance evaluation and how to implement it. A tour of the Energy Houses after lunch is also included.
Who it’s for
The workshops are open to all within industry with an interest in retrofit and building performance evaluation, including housing associations, local authorities, architects, designers, engineers and retrofit specialists.
