UKCMB affiliate Spyros Efthymiopoulos completed the second field trip to Kuujjuaq as part of the Resilient Responses to Lung Health in Nunavik (Anirniq) project, funded by the Canada-Inuit Nunangat-United Kingdom Arctic Research Programme (CINUK). Project partners include McGill University, University of Laval, Ungava Tulattavik Health Centre, Oxford University, Kativik Municipal Housing Bureau, RI-MUHC, and National Research Council Canada (NRC).
On this project, UKCMB’s Spyros Efthmiopoulos and Dr Yasemin D Aktas (UKCMB Deputy Academic Director) take the lead on delineating and co-implement the testing protocols to identify risk factors in Inuit homes to help develop a community lung health program in collaboration with a multidisciplinary coalition of researchers, healthcare workers, Nunavik Inuit community members and organisations.
