UKCMB held a best practices in managing mould workshop with local authorities on Friday 31st January 2025.

Organised by UKCMB Academic Director Dr Hector Altamirano-Medina and facilitated by Ruth Unstead-Joss (Senior Research Fellow, The Bartlett School for Energy, Environment and Resources, UCL) the workshop kickstarted important conversations on what is and isn’t working on mould management and how UKCMB can help.

• Linking Condensation and Mould Risk with Excess Cold and Underheating Homes by Torben Wood, East Suffolk local council
• Proactive Approach for Prevention and Control
by Adam Spokes, Medway local council
• Damp and Mould: Beyond Enforcement Interventions by William Humphries, Wolverhampton local council
• Using Research to Improve Outcomes for Tenants by Matt West, Islington local council

UKCMB plans to host more of these workshops soon.
