Following the coroner’s November 2022 report into the death of Awaab Ishak in Rochdale, the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) asked all larger registered providers of social housing, including local authorities and private providers, to submit evidence about the extent of damp and mould in tenants’ homes and their approach to tackling it.

An initial findings report was published in February 2023.

This report is the final analysis and conclusions from the information provided and lessons learned.
